Robert A. Del Genio

Mr. Del Genio is a renowned leader in the field of restructuring and mergers and acquisitions with over 25 years of experience.  Since 1982, Mr. Del Genio has been advising companies, lenders, creditors, corporate boards and equity sponsors across a diverse range of industries both domestically and internationally.  Mr. Del Genio has led restructurings, divestitures and acquisitions which included valuations, recapitalizations, distressed sales, business and asset evaluations, strategic assessments, capital raising as well as providing expert testimony on issues related to valuations and corporate restructurings.

Prior to co-founding CDG, Mr. Del Genio was a Corporate Finance Partner and a National Director with Ernst & Young LLP.  Mr. Del Genio has a Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BBA (High Honors) from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the AICPA, and the Ohio Society of CPAs.  Mr. Del Genio has previously served on the Board of Directors of Lazare Kaplan International, Inc. (LKI), a publicly traded AMEX company, and Washington Group International, Inc.

Mr. Del Genio is a frequent guest speaker on such topics as Recent Trends in Restructuring, Valuation Considerations with Troubled Companies, M&A Opportunities in Bankruptcy, Valuations, Deal Structuring, Creating Shareholder Value, Valuing Retail Deals in Volatile Financial Markets, the Current M&A Environment, Overview of Financial Statement Analysis in a Restructuring Context and Pricing the Deal.  He has lectured before organizations including the Deutsche Bank High Yield Conference, Credit Suisse First Boston, The Financial Executives Institute, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science, IBM Corporation, The Coca Cola Company, The British American Chamber of Commerce, Standard & Poor’s, Columbia Law School, Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management and the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada.
