Mark Houston
Mr. Houston has extensive restructuring and mergers and acquisitions experience and has successfully completed assignments on small, mid and large-cap companies across a diverse range of industries including aerospace & defense, automotive, consumer products, media, technology and telecommunications.
Over the course of his career Mr. Houston has assisted clients on corporate restructurings and recapitalizations, and conducted detailed operational and financial due diligence services, business plan reviews, cash flow and valuation analyses. His experience representing companies and creditors in both formal and informal restructurings has afforded him the expertise and ability to successfully design and analyze strategic and operational improvement plans, and develop and assess financial models and corporate business plans. Mr. Houston also specializes in advising acquirers and sellers of both healthy and distressed companies, identifying, analyzing, and recommending strategic and financial alternatives and opportunities to clients, and preparing valuations and fairness opinions of both public and private entities.
Prior to joining CDG, Mr. Houston was a Vice President at Evercore Partners in New York and a senior associate at Deutsche Bank in London.
Mr. Houston holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Mathematics from McGill University.
