Eric W. Ek
Mr. Ek has more than twenty-five years of operation, financial and consulting experience. He has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, has worked with both international and domestic buyers and sellers, and has prepared valuations of companies from multiple industries. Along with experience in restructuring, bankruptcy and turnaround situations, he has also led companies through the bankruptcy process as lead strategist and operating executive.
Prior to CDG, Mr. Ek worked in mergers and acquisitions for Ernst & Young. As Senior Manager, he led the Western Region Merger and Acquisition practice, where he oversaw the completion of valuation, due diligence and M&A assignments. Thereafter, he joined the firm of Takenaka & Company as Managing Director, specializing in Asian investments in the US, Asia and Europe. It was during his time at Takenaka that he began restructuring work in areas such as automotive and real estate, as well as continued his advisory work for both Japanese and Chinese investment firms.
Most recently, Mr. Ek has expanded his operational and transactional experience as CFO, CEO and CRO in the food industry with a focus on manufacturing and distribution. Mr. Ek is an experienced Board Member and has worked with Private Equity firms and held senior management roles and/or advised clients in diverse domestic and international industries.
He received his MSc. BA from the University of Bath (England), and a BS in accounting from The University of Southern California. He is a member of the AICPA, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
